  • My friends and I just returned from the most awesome vacation with Kathy and her CalabrianGirl tour ! The mountaintop village of Miglierina, where we stayed, was so peaceful and the villagers were so welcoming. Kathy planned our days with such attention to detail . Every day she took us to a different area and experience , taking all our individual interests into consideration. Kathy is all about making sure her guests are enjoying themselves to the fullest . We laughed, ate , drank , danced , sang , swam , shopped and so much more . We made friendships with strangers and acquaintances and memories to last a lifetime. You leave with such gratitude to have actually lived among these beautiful people. I had tears saying goodbye and praying that I can return one day. You definitely leave a piece of your heart there . Thank you Kathy, for such a unforgettable experience . And please keep looking after Bob, the village dog. He has my ❤️ too !

  • I can’t recommend Calabrian Girl Tours enough. My dream of traveling to Italy almost came to an end when my friend was no longer able to accompany me. I heard about Kathy and her tour group so I reached out. After talking to Kathy and hearing what she offered with her tour I took a leap of faith and traveled solo to the quaint mountain top village of Miglierina. Boy was I glad I did! I never once felt alone. Kathy and the townspeople were so welcoming. The group I traveled with became like family. Each morning we would meet in the piazza for a breakfast of fresh fruit, croissants, and of course cappuccino. Then off we would go to explore the many scenic towns of southern Calabria. Each stop was more breathtakingly beautiful than the next. And what can I say about the food and wine!! The never ending, and I mean never ending, array of deliciousness! Thank goodness we did a lot of walking! Friends ask which town was my favorite. I can’t say because each stop holds a special memory. If you want to truly experience southern Italy without the hustle and bustle of a tourist trap, Calabrian Girl Tours is the way to go. I can’t wait to return to be reacquainted with my new found friends.

  • I’ve always dreamed of visiting Italy, but I've never wanted to be one of those tourists in a sea of tourists. Going without a tour guide seemed intimidating. This trip was so perfect, I went twice. You have the luxury of having a guide, but the groups are small and intimate. You stay in your own renovated villa, and experience life in a small Italian village, and truly live like a local. Each morning started with cappuccino in the piazza and ended at the pub in town. The twelve hours in between was filled with beaches, dining, shops, wineries, and discovering Italy. From Mountain top restaurants, to some of the most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean, and everything in between, it's truly the trip of a lifetime.

The bus driver was amazing navigating thru the tiny streets, Lucia was great for translating and has the best sense of humor. Kathy is an amazing guide and very accommodating .
